Storage and Metadata Layer (Core Services): The storage and metadata layer provides the necessary mechanisms to store building telemetry (e.g., sensor data streams, external weather, etc.) and the metadata describing the (a) physical building information and (b) the relationship among data streams. This layer encompasses the core services provided by XBOS, which requires more computational capabilities than is usually available locally.
